This past Bridal Market week we had the honor, once again, of glamming the models for the showing of Pnina Tornai’s 2013 bridal collection at Kleinfeld’s. We used the orange/amber tones of Pnina’s new fragrance “Pnina Tornai” as inspiration for makeup. The eyes lids were painted a lovely copper tone and accentuated with a mahogany liner smudged around the entire eye, finished off with full set of false lashes. Pnina loves her models to have glowy, dewey look to their skin, so we used a light dusting of Bobbi Brown’s Bronze shimmer brick on cheeks to give the skin an ethereal glow. On the lips we applied Smashbox’s Melodrama lipstick for burst of color.

Over 60 guests and glam squad were flown in by private Jet to Nassau for 3 days and nights of wedding celebrations. The festivities started on the plane with a lovely lunch of lobster rolls, Truffle Aioli, Shrimp Cocktail with Tarragon Mustard Suauce, Fresh Macaroons….and lots of Vuve! Jody and Heidi literally had 15 minutes for glamming the bride for her rehearsal dinner where she was a vision in a flowing Monique Lhullier coral dress and Jimmy Choo shoes. Her look was inspired by Grace Kelly, so Jody put her hair up into a wavy pinned up bob and Heidi kept her makeup soft by using shimmery tones in beige and peach on the eyes accented with a strong black eyeliner a pale pink blush and a sheer coral lip gloss.

For the next night’s beach bash, Lindsey wore a Gucci color blocked dress in orange, purple and white paired with a white pair of open toed Jimmy Choos. Her hair was styled in beachy waves and makeup was a kept sheer  with bronze tones over her eyes and cheeks with a dewey nude lip.

For the main event–her wedding day–Lindsey kept to a tropic theme with her sister Olivia in coral colored fishtail gown.  Olivia wore a beautiful side bun accentuated with white flowers and makeup was kept soft with a bright coral lip.  The bride herself looked like a classic red carpet stunner in a white Monique Lhuillier gown, Vera Wang veil, and Christian Loubitin heels.  Her hair was again pulled back in a low bun, and Heidi used a gold shadow over her lids with a warm brown in the crease to accentuate her beautiful Bahamian tan. Individual false lashes were added to make her brown eyes pop. Her Monique Lhuillier gown fit her body like a glove and  her man-to-be matched his lady in a the weddings signature color , coral,  tie and tailored white suit.

We’re wishing this five-star lovely couple all the best as they begin their lives together in paradise.

The annual gala presented by Simmons and the Board of Directors of Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation benefits the foundation’s mission of “providing inner-city youth significant exposure and access to the arts and offering exhibition opportunities for underrepresented artists and artists of color.”  This year’s gala themed “Living in Color” honored Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon; Betsy Z. Cohen, CEO, Bancorp Inc.; Tamia and Grant Hill, Tamia and Grant Hill Foundation; and Marc J. Leder, Co-CEO, Sun Capital Partners, Inc.

Guests brightened up the evening in “summer’s hottest colors:” “Rush Orange,” aqua blue, chartreuse, and fuschia attire.  Some of the celebs in attendance included Soledad O’Brien, who hosted the event; Anita Baker and Salt-N-Pepa who gave special performances, Star Jones, and of course the Simmons’ family was on site including Russell’s nephew, Diggy Simmons, who also performed and ex-wife Kimora Lee who sits as honorary chair of the benefit.

All of her sisters stood beside her as bridesmaids in the summer’s afternoon wedding and each looked equally as stunning as the next in their J. Crew canary yellow dresses.   The ladies’ makeup was customized for each of their individual styles, but all wore false lashes for an ultra glam look fit for the occasion (and cameras). Their hair was done by a familiy friend that specializes in “naturally curly” hair styles, and the bride’s hair was twisted in to a classic, curly up-do revealing her flawless face and leaving her hair drama-free so she could dance the night away with her handsome new hubby. From head-to-toe this Maryland-bred bride has definitely earned her spot in the “beautifly” hall of fame.

Hair stylist Nikki Avanzino designed and executed, assisted by Jody Jordan, an intricate messy bride for Sarah Jassir’s 2012 Bridal Collection fashion show. The braids perfectly harmonized with Jassir’s collection as the perfect accoutrement for any bride.

Its not just about the brides anymore!  The fashion show was Kleinfeld’s first showcasing their new men’s collection.  The men’s line was a HUGE hit!  We loved the fact that each suit was paired perfectly with their partnered wedding dresses, varying  from ultra formal Black Tie to more laid back Bohemian styles.
